Tuesday's Dump & Chase: LOL, Detroit!

Gregory Shamus

I could't see it a few days ago, but this was always the best-case scenario. We got several days of crying and finger-pointing from the Blackhawks, followed by an epic collapse by Detroit. Perfect! Now it doesn't matter what happens. If Detroit loses, it will be one of the biggest chokes in recent memory. If Chicago loses, the Cup favorite will get bounced waaay too early, and we'll get to witness the accompanying meltdown. It's a classic win-win. We've got another Game 7 tonight in Los Angeles, where the Kings are undefeated in the playoffs this year. Will the Sharks break that streak?
