With Nashville having the fourth overall pick, many people, including myself, are rightfully focussing a lot on players like Aleksander Barkov, Jonathan Drouin, and Valeri Nichushkin. Because this is such a deep draft that still has very good players even in the third round, I decided to write about players the Predators might have their eye on in at that time.

Murphy is a defensive defenseman who is very reliable in his own zone and has the ability to put up points if needed. He is on of the best QMJHL defensemen as he has good hockey sense, good hitting, and a good upside. He is not the most skilled player in the world but as a defensive defenseman, he doesn't need to be.

Pesce has very good control of his defensive play by using great gap control and great control of his stick. He projects to be a shut down d-man with some offensive potential. An interesting side note: his coach believes in not rushing defensive development by relying on the older players.
