I've posted this as a comment, but thought I would add as a FanPost and get your thoughts.
For what it's worth...
I attended a season ticket holder happy hour last week where Jeff Cogen said a few words. I found a lot of the comments he made very interesting. Here are a few:
Stalberg, Cullen, and Wilson will be on our first line. I expect Stalberg to score 20-25 goals. I expect the same from Cullen and I think 15-20 is not unreasonable for Colin based on the pace he was on last year.
Mike Fisher is not a first line center. He'll be on the second line with Gabby on the left and Horny on the right.
David Legwand is not a first line center...and he's not a second line center. He belongs on the third line and putting Nystrom and Hendricks on either side could make that a very entertaining line to watch.
We are going into training camp over the cap. Obviously we can fix that by sending people on two-ways back down to the minors, but you also might see a trade if need be.
Shea Weber is happy about this team. Shea, Pekka and the others were happy with Erat getting traded since he (Erat) didn't want to be here. Shea picked up all the new FA signings at the airport when they came to town and was excited about them coming board. Shea's doing all the right things we need him to do as a leader for this team.
Again, I'm sure there's a bit of "company line" he's for sure towing here and there, but it was the most candid talk I've ever heard from a CEO of a company. Comment and vote below and let me know how you feel.
