Nashville Predators 3, San Jose Sharks 2: Roman Josi scores game-winner to halt losing streak

Frederick Breedon

The Nashville Predators got their 5-game home stand off to a successful start, beating one of the best teams in the NHL, the San Jose Sharks, by a 3-2 score.

Mattias Ekholm's first career NHL goal proved to be the notable highlight tonight, as Roman Josi scored the game winner and Marek Mazanec made 26 saves to earn the victory.

Next up, the Preds (19-19-6) host the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night at Bridgestone Arena.

Random Observations

  • Sorry for the abbreviated recap, but I missed most of the game tonight due to a burst water pipe in our house that caused drywall to collapse in our garage. Good times.
