The positive news continues to come at a cautious pace regarding Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne, who has practiced with the team in recent days and appears close to getting some game action, at least at the AHL level. John Glennon has the basics, and David Boclair has more over at the Nashville Post:
Rinne says he's hoping to get green light this week to start playing games, likely in Milwaukee— John Glennon (@glennonsports) February 24, 2014

The team has the option to send Rinne to Milwaukee for a conditioning assignment of up to 14 days with the player's consent, so who knows, Admirals fans may get a chance to relive the days of 2005-6 to 2007-8, when Rinne played 145 games for Milwaukee.
The big question is whether there's time enough for Rinne to get back in game shape and make a positive impact on the team's run for the playoffs. Could the Finnish cavalry ride to Nashville's rescue?
