Adjö means Good Bye in Swedish.
So long to you Patric. And thanks for all the memories. All the moments. All the good energy you gave to this fanbase, through your excellent play, your incomparable work ethic, your tremendous positivity and humility. You were one of our best draft choices ever (7th round, 230th overall 2005). You were one of our favourite players (Horndog!). You were the source of one our best 80's hip hop references (Me so Horny!). You are now a new father, with a new team in a new city and conference. Good luck to you. You`ve earned it.
He was one of our offensive leaders for many years, through the tough times when he was arguably our most skilled forward. He was one of the best Swedish goal scorers alive in 4 of the past 5 years. He was exactly what this franchise embodied in the Trotz era. Hustle. Commitment to detail. Grit. He was named an alternate captain last year to the surprise of few. His leadership and energy provided a metronome on which these Preds teams used to set the tone of their game. His goal scoring abilities (109 goals in 385 Games as a Pred) provided a reliable offensive punch. In short, he was the heart and soul of this squad for many years. His net front abilities were elite and he was always, always, always fun to watch. His presence will be missed.
Change is the only constant.
Change is never a bad thing.
So best of luck Patric, enjoy your new line mates in Pittsburgh! :)
