Last season, a game against the Bruins provided the Preds with their first overtime victory of the year, a dramatic moment that was part of the team's late-season surge.

Life doesn't get any easier for the post all-star break Nashville Predators. After trips to Minnesota and Philadelphia, the Predators come back home to Nashville tonight to face one of the surprise teams in the Central Division: The St. Louis Blues (7:00 CT; 102.5 The Game).

The Predators and Blues are two of the hottest teams in the league coming into tonight's game. St. Louis has won nine of its last 12 games, and the Predators have only lost three times in their last 16. The two teams are also just a point apart in the standings, so tonight's game is as critical a game as the Predators will play in the Central Division this year.

The Nashville Predators' high-flying road show continues tonight with a game against the Philadelphia Flyers, one of the highest scoring teams in the NHL, but one which has also has shown vulnerabilty on their home ice at the Wells Fargo Center. Last month, the Erat-Fisher-Kostitsyn led the way for Nashville in a 4-2 win at Bridgestone Arena. Can they repeat the feat this evening in Philly?

Perhaps there's no better way to get back into the competitive groove for the Nashville Predators than to face another Western Conference playoff contender in the Minnesota Wild (7:00 p.m. Central on FS-TN). There are a number of elements which have tied these teams together over the years, from the ownership (former Preds owner Craig Leipold of course owns the Wild now) down to the roster (3 former Preds are with Minnesota), and even an old bit of enmity between two rough-and-tumble wingers.

After a long stretch of winning hockey, the Nashville Predators finally have the chance to catch one of the teams ahead of them in the Central Division, as a regulation victory in Chicago tonight would lift them past the Blackhawks into 3rd place (St. Louis stays ahead because of fewer games played and more Regulation/Overtime Wins regardless of their outcome tonight). The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. Central on FS-TN.

Fresh off an exciting, crowd-pleasing victory over the Chicago Blackhawks Saturday night, the Nashville Predators face the challenge of bringing another energetic effort against the Columbus Blue Jackets, who are pretty much playing out the string and waiting to see which players get traded out of town over the next few weeks.
