J.P. Dumont leaves Dallas game following Robidas hit

Nashville Predators winger J.P. Dumont left tonight's game against the Dallas Stars early in the 2nd period, after taking a hard hit into the boards from Stars defenseman Stephane Robidas. The Predators announced that he would not return to the game.

Earlier, Dumont assisted on Jason Arnott's opening goal of the game, which the Predators lead 2-1 after two periods.

Update: After the game, Nashville coach Barry Trotz indicated that Dumont wasn't seriously injured, as was held out for precautionary reasons.
