The Nashville Predators added two more of their players, along with a prospect to Olympic rosters this morning as center Marcel Goc and defenseman Alexander Sulzer were named to the German team, led by head coach Uwe Krupp.
Goc is on pace for his best offensive season to date, as he's filled the 3rd-line center role between J.P. Dumont and Patric Hornqvist recently, along with taking key defensive-zone faceoffs when needed. This is his 3rd time being named to the German Olympic team, although he did not play for the 2002 squad.
Despite getting shuffled back-and-forth between Nashville and Milwaukee, Sulzer's solid two-way play earned him a two-year contract with Nashville earlier this year. This is his 2nd Olympic shot with Team Germany, having played for them in 2006.
Defensive prospect Roman Josi, the Predators' 2nd-round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, was also named to the Swiss squad, as expected.
