As the Preds continue to stalk the rest of the Western Conference playoff contenders, here's the roundup on the team from around the MSM and blogging world:
David Boclair at the Nashville City Paper profiles the five Predators for whom this is their first playoff chase.
It's "Ladies Night" over at the Preds On the Glass podcast this evening, as Rachel from What the Puck will be their guest, along with Connie from A Queen Among Kings, who will provide the L.A. perspective prior to tonight's game.
Remember the youth hockey team that made the bus trip all the way down from Timmins, Ontario to scrimmage local teams in Nashville and take in a couple Preds games? Well, one of the kids not only got to meet Wayne Gretzky on that trip, but he also just got selected to escort the Maple Leafs onto the ice at a recent game in Toronto. Talk about a great couple weeks for a young hockey player!
According to Mike from The View from 111, who is traveling with the team on this road trip, "Radek Bonk now looks doubtful for the remainder of this trip as his injured shoulder has not responded as hoped." Keep in mind that this isn't official team information, and that just the day before Mike wrote that Bonk was probable for Saturday's Phoenix game, and would certainly return tonight. So just use the appropriate size grain of salt. I think most Preds fans are more anxiously awaiting the return of Jason Arnott, which is still up in the air.
