Let's take a look around to see what's being said about our Preds this morning:
John Glennon at the Tennessean provides some of the rationale behind the lack of an offensive acquisition yesterday. Jason Arnott says, "Obviously David has all the confidence in the world in who we have now and we have to feel that way as well." That certainly wasn't the company line in the days leading up to the deadline.
The Tennessean also reports on an innovative ticketing program being announced today; the "2/20 Loyalty Plan" allows people to lock in the next 2 seasons worth of tickets (for full- or half-season plans) at today's prices, and make the payments interest-free over the span of 20 months. I already use their Power Play option (pay over 7 months), and it definitely helped make the difference in my picking up a ticket package. UPDATE: All the details are here, including a new 3rd jersey for next season.
Scott Burnside at ESPN has his trade deadline roundup, and gets wishy-washy on Nashvile. "Steve Sullivan, who came back earlier this season after a serious back injury, is starting to find his scoring touch. Not sure it'll be enough; maybe GM David Poile will regret not finding some scoring depth. But, really, scorers weren't just hanging on trees Wednesday." Um, hello, Miro Satan???
Finally, we have the video of the much-praised "rivalry" video intro that was used in last Saturday's game against Detroit, courtesy of one of the users at the Preds message boards. Enjoy.
