From the Nashville Predators:
In order to accommodate all interested parties, the Nashville Predators have extended the 2/20 Loyalty Plan deadline for new season-ticket sales and season-ticket renewals to Thursday, April 23. This unique 2/20 Loyalty Plan freezes season-ticket rates at the 2008-2009 season ticket prices for two years through the 2010-2011 season.
Fans and season ticketholders may also come to the Sommet Center from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 23 to purchase or renew their season tickets. These fans are invited to an exclusive pizza and soft-drink party hosted by Terry Crisp, Pete Weber, Tom Callahan, Associate Coach Brent Peterson and Assistant Coach Peter Horachek and GNASH.
"We have been extremely pleased with the response we have experienced thus far with renewals and especially the 2/20 Loyalty Plan," Predators Executive Vice President Chris Parker said. "We feel this is an extremely unique program and hope this extra time will allow more fans to participate."
The original deadline for season ticket renewals was Friday, April 17th. Frankly, I don't know why they don't leave it open until the end of the Stanley Cup playoffs, but I'm sure there are reasons to close the renewal period so shortly into the offseason.
