Filed under: hands out "Hockey New Media" Awards, Puck Daddy wins Writer of the Year

Just in time for the NHL Awards tomorrow in Las Vegas, handed out its "New Media Awards" to recognize outstanding work on hockey websites and blogs.

Greg "Puck Daddy" Wyshynski won the "2009 Hockey Writer of the Year" award from, which you can see Hall of Famer Glenn Anderson hand out in this video:

If you head over to the HockeyBarn site, you can page your way through the various awards. Bizarrely, they don't actually list the winners and nominees on the pages, so I'll leave it up to the reader to check out the other categories (Rookie Writer of the Year, Hockey Mom/Dad Writer of the Year, Unsung Hero, etc.). Congratulations to Greg and all the other winners, including Donny Rivette of Litter Box Cats, SB Nation's Florida Panthers blog, who won "Rookie Writer of the Year".
