Martin Erat, who has been bothered with back spasms for several days, has been placed on injured reserve by the Nashville Predators, a move which will keep him out of the lineup tonight vs. St. Louis and Saturday vs. Washington, at least. In his place, Sergei Kostitsyn has been activated, and may make his Nashville Predators debut tonight. Erat played 17:14 in the season-opening win over Anaheim, but didn't register a shot on goal. Kostitsyn suffered a broken toe during training camp and hasn't played since a September 29 pre-season game at Atlanta.
Many fans are anxious to see what SK74 can bring to the lineup, so we'll have to see how he does tonight. Matthew Lombardi was a late scratch for the Predators, look for more news on that front after the game.
