The Nashville Predators ended up making an addition on the NHL's Trade Deadline day, picking up Dustin Boyd from the Calgary Flames in exchange for a 4th-round draft pick this summer.

Boyd has been a pretty effective 5-on-5 forward for Calgary, with the lowest Goals Against/60 minutes figure on the team. He might help on the PK, but he was not at all one the Flames' primary penalty killers. Nashville, however, has struggled on the PK this season and a change in personnel might not hurt.
Boyd makes $650,000 this season and will be a restricted free agent this summer.
