According to this tweet from Rogers Sportsnet reporter Nick Kypreos, Nashville Predators defenseman Shane O`Brien is set to have a disciplinary hearing with the NHL this afternoon:

As expected, #Leafs Brown (head hit) and #Preds O'Brien (stick) have Friday afternoon hearings with #NHL regarding supplemental discipline

Tennessean beat writer Josh Cooper confirmed the report:

O brien confirmed the hearing with the league. Still hasn't heard back.

Color me confused, because I don't remember any incident in last night's game on either side that warranted a supplemental discipline hearing - there were no major or match penalties assessed. Stay tuned, because we'll update you as we hear more.

UPDATE: We've got the word... 2 games, meaning he'll miss this weekend's home-and-home vs. Chicago.
