The Nashville Predators announced via one of their official Twitter accounts that center Cal O`Reilly suffered a broken fibula in tonight's 4-1 win over Columbus:
Cal O'Reilly has a broken fibula. His status will be re-evaluated on Tuesday, but he will miss some time.
After leading the Predators in scoring during the early weeks of the season, O'Reilly's production had tailed off of late, having gone 11 games without a point dating back to an assist earned in Detroit on December 8. All the same, this injury will gut the Predators' depth down the middle again, just as David Legwand has returned to action over the last few days.
