Nashville Predators assign Linus Klasen to Milwaukee

New, comments

From the Nashville Predators:

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forward Linus Klasen (LEEH-nuhs KLAH-sehn) to Milwaukee.

Klasen, 24 (2/19/86), appeared in three games during his most recent recall. He made his NHL debut on Oct. 30 at Detroit and now has no points in four career games while averaging 12:53. At the time of his recall, the Stockholm, Sweden native was tied for sixth in the American Hockey League in goals (15) and game-winning goals (3), in addition to ranking fourth in the League in power-play markers (7, tie). In his first North American professional season the 5-8, 178-pound winger paces the Admirals in points with 27 (15g-12a) in 29 games.

Klasen hasn't played hardly at all lately in favor of Wade Belak, but I hope that this move might mean that one of the wingers (Steve Sullivan?) may be ready to play tomorrow night at San Jose.
