I look nothing like this, but this post needed a picture, so how about an awesome one of Joel Ward.

The ranks here at OTF grow ever larger, as I'm happy to announce that Marc Torrence joins our writing team. Read below as he introduces himself, and give him a hearty welcome, won't you? - Dirk

My name is Marc Torrence (formerly known as redskinsmarc) and I'll be your newest contributor at On The Forecheck! I'm incredibly excited at this opportunity to cover one of my favorite teams, and with the playoff push in full swing things are sure to be exciting around here. Some quick notes, and get-to-know-you information after the jump!

  • I currently live in Franklin, TN and have for the last 11 or 12 years.
  • I'm a freshman at the University of Alabama studying Sports Broadcasting. I co-host a sports talk show at the campus radio station, but we mostly talk college football and basketball.
  • I've been a Preds fan since they came to town. I went to the first game, and have been hooked ever since. And just to prove it, here's my ticket from the game:
  • Downsized_0316012004_medium

  • My favorite Predators are Pekka Rinne and Joel Ward.
  • My favorite Predators game that I've been to was Nashville's 4-1 thrashing of the Blackhawks in last years Stanley Cup playoffs. It was my first playoff hockey game, the atmosphere was incredible, but, of course, the Preds dominating was the best part.
  • I'm also a fan of the Washington Redskins (Dad grew up in DC and brainwashed me), Tennessee Titans, North Carolina, all things Alabama Crimson Tide, and recently got into the Premier League and have been following Chelsea.
  • I'll be tweeting about the Predators at @OTFMarc.

Got any questions for me? Leave them in the comments!

I'm looking forward to bringing everyone the latest Nashville Predators news and writing about the games! Go Preds!
