Monday's notes: 8 days and counting

It's likely to be a slow week for hockey news, with the only major event on the horizon being Shea Weber's arbitration date, scheduled for Tuesday, August 2nd. The way things are going, you'd have to think that any deal that gets struck will come closer to that deadline rather than earlier, as the urgency builds on both sides.
