Friday afternoon notes: Chris Pronger named captain in Philly; L.A./Doughty standoff getting ugly

The hockey world is all a-twitter this afternoon, with training camps opening around the league. In every market, speculation abounds as to which young kids might jump up the depth chart, or how those flashy free agents will fit into their new lineups. Here in Nashville, hockey fans are looking ahead to welcoming a team back to the ice that broke new ground last spring.

So print off your training camp schedule, and your Blue/White/Silver team rosters, and get ready to head downtown to Centennial Sportsplex this weekend to catch the Preds as they shake off the rust and prepare for the upcoming season.
