Monday's Dump & Chase: Now Would Be a Good Time to Strike a Deal

There really wasn't much news about the CBA negotiations over the weekend, just mentions from various media outlets that the NHL and NHLPA had been in contact, without any formal negotiating sessions. With Thursday being set as the deadline to save an 82-game season, will both sides continue to make progress and get a deal done? When I asked that question last night on Facebook, the votes came in more than 4-to-1 on the "No" side, but where do you stand?

Think about that question while reading your morning hockey notes.

It's worth noting that given their history, it's understandable why the players might be suspicious of a guy seen as too cozy with the owners.

The Hockeycentral analyst says that as soon as the CBA gets done, so will this deal, which could be a huge shot in the arm for the Maple Leafs.
