St. Louis Blues
The Blues finally took their first loss of the season Tuesday night in Chicago, as the Blackhawks topped them 3-2. Back on in St. Louis tonight, they'll look to build on what was last season's 2nd-ranked home record.
Tom Callahan hints that Jaroslav Halak is likely to get the start tonight for St. Louis:
Looks like Halak over Elliott based on who came off first.
— predsradio (@predsradio) January 24, 2013
Halak was yanked partway through Monday's game with the Preds, and will surely be itching to make up for that. Otherwise, the lineup news from the Blues side is the likely debut for defenseman Wade Redden, who was recently bought out of the contract he had with the New York Rangers, which had kept in the minors since September of 2010.
Nashville Predators
The focus with the Preds is on those 3rd & 4th forward lines. Will Brian McGrattan dress? Will Rich Clune? How much ice time will Craig Smith get?
Early signs from Josh Cooper are not encouraging for Honey Badger fans.
Stay tuned as we'll provide updates in the afternoon as they come available, and make sure to join us in the Game Thread this evening!
