First, Hornqvist took a Shea Weber shot off his right thigh, which left him hobbling off to the bench for repairs. Signs were hopeful at that time, as he made it back out for another shift, but a Ducks player (Ryan Getzlaf) then fell into Hornqvist's left leg in the corner of the Anaheim zone, causing that knee to buckle at an unnatural angle.
From there, Hornqvist had to be helped off the ice, and didn't return. Josh Cooper brings the news, uncertain as it is, for now:
Trotz said Hornqvist out indefinitely. Didn't know if he would be further examined out here or back in Nashville.

Hornqvist has been one of the Predators' most productive forwards to this point, and had four shots on goal tonight before leaving the game.
So who moves up the depth chart? Brandon Yip, who scored tonight? Matt Halischuk, who was scratched against the Ducks, or can Craig Smith reclaim some of his lost ice time?
