Happy Saturday, everybody! I'm back from my West Coast Tour, and if you only listen to one thing I say, make it this: Don't ever, ever buy a hot dog from a street vendor in Tijuana. Even if they're 3 for $1. Since I've been away for a while, here's a couple of random observations. 1. The intro video at Bridgestone is an improvement over last year's disaster, but I still didn't care for it. Visually, it was great, but I think if you're going to stray from the proven options with the song, you better have something really special in its place. This isn't it. For me, anyway. 2. Surprise! The offense sucks. And I don't think Stalberg's return will fix it enough. As someone who goes to a fair number of games, I hope I'm wrong. I don't want to be the one who pays the "entertainment tax" this year. 3. There appears to be two cotton candy vendors per section, which seems excessive, but I'm sure the team has some sort of formula to gauge demand on these things. 4. Maybe I missed it, but it appears the "Kiss Cam" has been axed. If that's true, I couldn't be happier. The only thing worse than the Kiss Cam is The Wave. 5. Seth Jones. Smooth skater. Looks like he belongs at this level. Isn't going to score 30 goals. I'm sure I'll have more complaints after tonight's game, but for now, on with the links!
