TSN's Darren Dreger, one of the more well-placed NHL insiders, brings word that the Nashville Predators have placed winger Zach Boychuk on waivers today:
Nsh placed Z.Boychuk and TO placed M.Komisarek on Waivers

We'll know tomorrow around noon Eastern time if another team claims Boychuk, or whether the Predators can assign him to Milwaukee. He's already played for the Carolina Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Penguins this season.
With Nashville, he's played five games with one goal and one assist. John Glennon at the Tennessean checked in with Barry Trotz on the move:
"I think Zach has a lot of ability, but we really just didn't see enough bite in his game to go further right now," Preds coach Barry Trotz said. "He is a project, but I think in time he could play in the league if he makes some of the right adjustments in his game."
Does this move mean perhaps that Taylor Beck may have made a decent impression on the coaches last night in his NHL debut? Or perhaps that one of the injured forwards might return to action soon? Stay tuned for tomorrow's episode of As The Roster Turns...
