Mike Fisher left last night's game late in the third period after blocking a shot with his hand, and it was feared that he might have broken a bone, but that seems to have been avoided. Paul Gaustad is apparently fit for duty, having not played since March 12. Together with Craig Smith coming back from his conditioning stint in Milwaukee, that should help shore up the center position.
The Hannan move is perhaps the most interesting, however, because yesterday we heard that he was "cleared to return". Did he experience some unfortunate relapse, or another injury last night (like smacking himself in the forehead too hard watching that debacle)?
