Ahead of today's game against the Chicago Blackhawks (got your preview right here, pal), the Preds have sent defenseman Ryan Ellis back to the Milwaukee Admirals. He played just over 20 minutes against Columbus Thursday night, and put in what Barry Trotz characterized as a so-so effort, so back he goes to the AHL...
This came from the Preds:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned defenseman Ryan Ellis to Milwaukee (AHL). Ellis was recalled on Thursday under emergency conditions.
Ellis, 22 (1/3/91), logged a career-high 20:11 and put a personal-best four shots on goal in Thursday's game against Columbus. He has six points (2g-4a) in 32 games with the Predators this season, and 10 points (4g-6a) in 24 games with the Admirals.
The "emergency conditions" referred to above was Vic Bartley's illness which kept him out of the Columbus game, so presumably he's ready to go today.
