Friday's Dump & Chase: Bruins Win in OT, Sharks Tank

New, comments

The better team won in Boston, no doubt. But the Sharks-Kings series is a bit of a surprise. Although I guess it shouldn't be. The Sharks have plenty of puzzling early post-season exits on their resumé and the Kings have been streaky, losing the first two against St. Louis before firing off six straight wins. Not to mention what they did last season. We'll see if they can keep it going Saturday. Only one game tonight as the Penguins try to jump to a 2-0 series lead at home. Ottawa got smoked in Game 1...another bad loss here and they're in real trouble.

Player A: 3 goals, 4 assists in 16 games.

Player B: 3 goals, 6 assists in 20 games

One of these guys is viewed (by management) as a fringe player who's inconsistent and may not have a roster spot. The other is a rising star with a bright future.

Suspensions of six games or more go to an arbitrator. So if he ends up missing six, he can potentially get his suspension reduced. After he's already served it. I wonder how the union feels about this particular "loophole".
