Sunday's Dump & Chase: Why Are The Preds So Awful In The Shootout?

I mean seriously…it's pathetic. They've put one puck in the net this year. ONE. Last night, they had a couple of chances to put one past Tim Thomas, but just couldn't do it. A couple other shots seemed to be aimed right at his chest. Not good. With a 2.1% chance of making the playoffs, this team needs to figure out a way to get two points in some of these games. How would our situation look if we'd already won a couple of shootouts this year? Being 4-5 points out right now would look a whole lot better, that's for sure. Maybe we should petition the league to change the shootout to a "rebound score" contest, or a "wrestle for the puck in the corner" contest. THAT'S something we could really excel at.
