Friday's Dump and Chase: Secondary Scoring

New, comments

While having a top line that never scoring and added goals from defenseman is great, counting on these to continue is not conducive to long term success. The Preds learned a few hard lessons regarding their special teams and faceoffs recently and last night was about their secondary scoring. The Smith-Roy-Cullen line was thoroughly outplayed and played very little in the second before being broken up. So far the Preds have shown they are aware of their deficiencies by responding with a stronger performance the next game. They will need the second line to do more on Saturday against a Winnipeg squad that is playing solid hockey lately.
