Wednesday's Dump and Chase: Brodeur's Clues

One of the big news stories yesterday was the best goaltender of all time signing a contract with the St. Louis Blues. And of course it turned out to be a false report because Dominik Hasek is 49 and retired. It was actually Brodeur. And despite his play the past few seasons, Brodeur will probably be a solid, cheap back up option for the Blues in the short term. Considering who will be playing in front of him, I don't see why he can't be in a position to succeed. The problem with Brodeur will be how he exits the team. My sincere condolences to Brian Elliot and Jake Allen for what they might endure, even if it's for a short while.
