2015 NHL Draft: Nashville’s Selection Order

For the third time in franchise history, the Nashville Predators will be sitting out of the first round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. But just because they traded that pick away, doesn’t mean they aren’t going to have the opportunity to make some suave picks.

David Poile and company will sit down at their stations at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida and try to continue their run of strong selections they made last year. Most importantly, they may be looking at making another shocking trade to upgrade the team to contender status.

We’ll dig into what may be available to them in the later rounds as June 26th gets closer. For now, here’s the order of Nashville’s seven picks in this year’s selection as a reference for you going forward:

Round One

24th Overall – The Toronto Maple Leafs will make their second selection of the round, while Predators fans shed tears with this playing in the background.

The Other Rounds

Round Two 55th Overall
Round Three 85th Overall
Round Four 100th Overall (from San Jose)
Round Four 115th Overall
Round Five 145th Overall
Round Six 175th Overall
Round Seven 205th Overall

After drafting 4th and 11th overall the past two years, not going to the podium in the first 30 selections is not going to feel great – but drafts aren’t won or lost in the first round. Let’s hope the organization has an ace up their sleeve, or a detailed game plan on adding to the farm system.
