Filip Forsberg Final Pick in Draft, He and Weber to Team Toews

New, comments

The captains have made their decisions on where the Predators will be playing.

The 2015 NHL All-Star Weekend officially kicked off Friday night with the Fantasy Draft.

Shea Weber and Filip Fosberg were representing the Nashville Predators, and have played more than 40 games together this season. Would that change with either Jonathan Toews or Nick Foligno taking them separately?

No, as it would turn out. Both players were drafted to Team Toews, and will have another chance to skate together. Weber was taken with the second pick. Unfortunately for Forsberg, his was the last name called in the entire draft. The good news? He wins a brand new Honda Accord.

He also got plenty of time to talk to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins about how awesome Nashville is. Hint hint.

Weber and Forsberg have combined for nine goals so far this season, and there's a good chance they can match that total on Sunday.

The weekend resumes with the Skills Competition tomorrow evening, before the main event on Sunday. Stick around for more coverage.
