Thursday's Dump & Chase: The North American learning curve

New, comments

Most Predators fans were surprised by Kevin Fiala being sent to the AHL a few days ago. Maybe a bigger surprise cut was Steve Moses, the 2014-2015 KHL goal scoring leader, who is on a one-way contract. While his 36 goals last season stoke the imagination of the wonderful top-six offense he could bring, the reality is he's probably not going to be the offensive dynamo like many hoped. He's like a journeyman version of Colin Wilson but undrafted and no NHL experience. But that's not to say scoring 36 goals in the KHL is easy. Moses is clearly very talented and could still end up being a useful piece for the Preds. Then again, the KHL is also the league with Radulov registering in the top-5 for points for the last five years. What a hockey league!
