Pekka Rinne denies Brian Boyle with outstanding pad save

Anthony Bitetto is the Predators' eighth defenseman. Thanks to injuries to both Ryan Ellis and Barret Jackman, he suited up for his first game of the season.

Let's just say there was an adjustment period. Bitetto lost Lightning forward Brian Boyle, who took off toward Pekka Rinne. It looked like a sure goal but, as you read, Rinne was in the crease.

The Finnish netminder and his magical pads bailed his defenseman out, and kept the game scoreless early in the first period.

Thanks, big man.
