The Predators have announced that Marek Mazanec is heading back to Milwaukee. He didn't see much action ( one start, one appearance in relief of Hutton when he got lit up in Detroit), but he posted a respectable 2.26 GAA and a .915 Sv% in that time. The corresponding move we're expecting next is that Pekka Rinne will be returning to the ice tomorrow against the Ducks. Stand by as that story develops...

Nashville, Tenn. (February 4, 2015) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned goaltender Marek Mazanec (MAIR-ehk muh-ZAN-ehk) to Milwaukee (AHL).
The Predators, who lead the NHL in point-percentage (.720), won a franchise-record ninth straight home game on Tuesday night against Toronto. Nine of Nashville’s 13 remaining February games will take place on Bridgestone Arena ice, including six of its next seven. The Preds take on the Anaheim Ducks tomorrow night in a battle between two of the top teams in the League (7 p.m. CT, FOX Sports Tennessee, 102.5 The Game) and are home again on Saturday to play the New York Rangers in a special 2 p.m. matinee start (FOX Sports Tennessee, 102.5 The Game).
