The Florida Panthers have been a much better team this year than many people were expecting. It most likely won't be enough to vault them into playoff position, though, as they are outside the playoff picture, seven points behind Boston.
The Panthers haven't played since Thursday, while Nashville is going to be a little weary after a win and an airplane trip less than 24 hours ago. Nashville may also be without Colin Wilson for today's game. Wilson was demolished by Kevin Klein early in yesterday's game and did not return.
