William Shakespeare once wrote that "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them." Unfortunately Quebec is none of those. Quebec's expansion bid places the NHL in a precarious position. While at a quick glance it may appear to be similar to the NFL and LA, the problems run much deeper. Canada will lose its largest remaining free agent fanbase, while simultaneously robbing the NHL of the chance to open new markets elsewhere, but thats not even close to the worst issue. More Canadian dollars means less actual dollars, which means less projected long term revenue unless the Canadian Dollar magically ascends out of its swan dive. In short Quebec, its nothing too personal, but we really just don't want you. Bye.
