Saturday's Dump & Chase: Doctor tells Clowe to retire

New, comments

The decision is probably season or two overdue but Ryane Clowe has decided to retire after a doctor recommend he stop playing hockey. The Newfoundland native sustained multiple concussion through out his career and was limited to less than 15 games last season. It's a horrifying reality that comes with being a hockey player and a fan of hockey. In the last five years we've seen that reality produce some very tragic endings. Hopefully for Clowe the linger effects of his multiple brain injuries will be minimal for the rest of his life. But most aren't so lucky.
