Wednesday's Dump & Chase: Shooting Stars

New, comments

The Predators couldn't hold off the Dallas Stars but thanks to Pekka Rinne is wasn't a complete disaster.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The Predators didn't have the best showing last night against Dallas, but things could have gotten way out of hand if it wasn't for Pekka Rinne. Blocking 35 of the 37 shots he faced, Rinne made some incredible saves that kept Nashville alive for most of the game.

He also lended a helping hand for Mike Fisher's power play goal with an impressive pass up the ice.

After months of speculation Rinne's showing may be enough to restore some faith in the net-minder for those who are still in doubt. It's still too early to tell if this is the level of play we can expect to see from Rinne the rest of the season, but if so we're in for a fun run folks.
