The much hyped start of the McDavid versus Matthews rivalry ended with a grand total of zero goals between them. It just doesn't have the same panache as Crosby and Ovechkin or literally any other rivalry that isn't utterly manufactured by a desperate Toronto media. My vote is for Laine and Eichel.
