November was a great time to be a goaltender in the Nashville Predators’ organization.
On the same day that Pekka Rinne was named the NHL’s first star for the month of November, Preds prospect Juuse Saros was named the CCM/AHL Goaltender of the month.
Saros went 5-0-0 in November, posting a save percentage of .955 with a 1.37 goals-against-average - including a 35-save shutout on Nov. 17.
The 21-year-old Fin leads the AHL in goals-against-avergae (1.59) and save percentage (.945), and is tied for first in wins (9).
Saros was called up to Nashville on Nov. 24 with backup Marek Mazanec being sent down to Milwaukee.
As good as he has been in Milwaukee, his stats have been even better in the NHL. In two starts for Nashville this season, Saros is 1-1-0 with a 1.02 goals-against-average with a .965 save percentage.
Congrats Little Bear!
