Saturday's Dump & Chase: The Year of the Rookie

New, comments

With the likes of McDavid, Panarin, Eichel, Larkin, Gostisbehere, Domi and Duclair, this year very well could be dubbed "The Year of the Rookie." The influx of young talent into the NHL is truly incredible and the NHL is starting to become deeper and deeper. This is going to greatly help NHL expansion and also illustrates the importance of holding onto top draft picks instead of trading them away at the deadline.

Especially given this news, Dennis Wideman definitely deserved a 20 game suspension, if not longer. There is no place in the game for such acts.
