The Nashville Predators may want to stock up on Tylenol and ace bandages.
The team announced Friday, that both defenseman Roman Josi and forward Colin Wilson have been placed on injured reserve.

Nashville is already playing without leading goal-scorer James Neal, All-Star captain P.K. Subban, and gritty winger Miika Salomaki. Subban, however, did join the team for Friday’s optional practice.

Josi was injured in Thursday night’s 2-1 victory over the Boston Bruins after taking a hit up high from Bruins forward Anton Blidh. The hit appeared to be late, and Blidh should be hearing from the league.

Without Josi, the Preds are now down their top two defensemen – leaving Ryan Ellis and Mattias Ekholm to shoulder the load defensively. Nashville did call up prospect and AHL All-Star Alexandre Carrier prior to the game against Boston.
Carrier becomes the 11th player Nashville has called up from Milwaukee at some point or another this season. They also traded prospect Felix Girard to the Colorado Avalanche for enforcer Cody McLeod. Nashville’s next game is Saturday night in Colorado.
