Things have not gone to plan for Mike Ribeiro this season in Nashville. The 36-year-old has been a healthy scratch five times this season including the past two games for the Predators.
According to Norman Marshall, a Montreal Freelance Reporter, Ribeiro has asked for a trade out of Nashville:
Former #Habs Mike Ribeiro asked for a trade yesterday #NHL

There is also this, well, not so great endorsement from head coach Peter Laviolette about Ribeiro and his status with Nashville:
Asked Peter Laviolette yesterday where Mike Ribeiro stood with him: "He's a member of our team." Not a real ringing endorsement.

Norman also reported that Ribeiro’s first team of choice to be traded to would be the Montreal Canadiens. The Habs drafted Ribeiro in the second-round of the 1998 NHL Draft.
This will be a very interesting scenario to follow and we will of course be bringing you all the breaking news and info on whatever may happen with Ribeiro and the Predators.
Ribeiro has four goals and 21 helpers in 46 games this season.
