There is some Nashville Predators news that we need to bring to your attention, because you know, that’s what we’re here for.

Roman Josi has been activated from injured reserve and Mike Ribeiro officially cleared waivers and was sent to AHL Milwaukee on Saturday.

Josi has missed the past nine games with his last action coming back on January 12 against the Boston Bruins where he took a nasty high-hit.

Josi (5 goals, 17 assists) is expected to play tonight as the Preds host the Red Wings.

As for Ribeiro, he was placed on waivers on Friday and officially cleared on Saturday. The last time Ribeiro played in an AHL game was during the 2002-03 season with Hamilton.

If Josi does take the ice tonight, it will be the first time since opening night that the Predators will have their full defensive group healthy.

The Preds and Red Wings will play hockey at 501 Broadway at 7:00 p.m. CST tonight.
