The Minnesota High School Boys State Hockey Tournament began yesterday.  Known from the plethora of NHL'ers that have played in it, the drop-dead gorgeous hockey hair it produces, and the incredibly high quality of high school hockey played, it is a must-see event.  In fact, top-10 projected draft pick Casey Mittelstadt plays for Eden Prarie. That's right, this tournament is so good that top-10 picks can come straight from these high school teams. Every American hockey fan has two pilgrimages to make within their lifetime: one to Lake Placid, and one to what Minnesotans call "The Tourney."

And the best part? Edina didn't make it this year. The cake eaters are staying home.
