The Predators’ postseason begins tonight, a day after a goal from Tanner Glass opened the Stanley Cup playoffs. Fortunately for the Preds, weird goals are nothing new.
The Chicago Blackhawks
Over the past couple of days, the crew here at On the Forecheck has previewed all aspects of the Hawks’ team.
There aren’t a lot of surprises when it comes to this Chicago team, which still has a lot of the same core remaining from the first time these two teams met in the postseason in 2010.
Here are their lines from practice yesterday:
#Blackhawks lines: 8-19-14, 72-15-88, 38-16-81, 40-67-22.

Defensive pairings remain the same as well: 2-4, 27-7, 51-57. #Blackhawks

The Nashville Predators
After 82 games, we’re all very familiar with the ins and out of this roster, from the awesomeness of the JOFA line to the inexplicable terribleness of McFiddler. That doesn’t mean there isn’t any intrigue, though.
Still no sign of Jarnkrok or Wilson.

Oh dear.
Apparent Predators lines:
— Adam Vingan (@AdamVingan) April 12, 2017
Forsberg-Johansen-Arvidsson
Fiala-Fisher-Neal
Aberg-Sissons-Smith
McLeod-Fiddler-Watson
Extra: Z, PAP, Salomaki
Wilson and Jarnkrok did travel with the team to Chicago, so there is still a possibility that they will dress for tonight’s game and we can all back off the ledge a little bit.
Sights and Sounds
You can still catch this game on Fox Sports Tennessee and 102.5 FM The Game at 7 PM Central. The Predators are also hosting a plaza watch party, if you are so inclined.
