The Nashville Predators made history on Monday night, beating the Anaheim Ducks in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals and advancing to their first Stanley Cup Final in team history.
It’s a momentous occasion for the franchise and for the City of Nashville, but the work isn’t done just yet. With four more wins, the Preds can bring Lord Stanley’s Cup to Tennessee with a parade down Broadway. They learned their opponent on Wednesday night after a thrilling Game 7 between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Ottawa Senators. The Pens won the East for the second straight year, and they’ll continue their Cup defense against the Preds in the Final.
Nashville will wait a full week between games, as the 2017 Stanley Cup Final won’t begin until Monday, May 29. Games 1, 2, 5 and 7 will be hosted by the Penguins in Pittsburgh.
Nashville will host Games 3 at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday, June 3, Game 4 on Monday, June 5, and if necessary, Game 6 on Sunday, June 11. Television information for the Cup Final is still pending, but all games will be on either NBC or NBCSN.
